It was terrible for privacy and reversible transactions but how many people paid for their first Bitcoin using PayPal and never looked back? PayPal should be avoided today but a large group of crypto investors are using crypto today because they used PayPal years ago to learn about Bitcoin so it did have a positive impact.
It is very terrible. I can remember when the exchanges allow people to pay with PayPal, they always make sure to indicate that the money can be reversed by the buyer. PayPal should completely be avoided while dealing with exchanging fiat to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
There are many other payment options available today.
