since i have been following up Madrid games, they have always followed a rough root to becoming champions and even in the last one and this one, the pattern hasn't changed. from getting to play Manchester city that is final worthy in a playoff and managing to beat them in a game that Madrid defense was completely porous to getting another tough opponent in this next round, if they eventually get to the final, they have yet again shown why they have done it fifteen times and still counting. apart from the risk of things going wrong, the advantage of playing tough opposition while heading to the finals is that it prepares you for the worse of fixture ahead. Barca might be lucky enough to get a weak team at the round of sixteen but dont expect them to go through them so easily.

it is not like the draws are done by appointing teams that will play a particular team knowingly, it is called draws and that means that it is just randomly selected for two potential outcomes. the two option available is either Bayern Leverkusen or Atletico. Bayern Leverkusen might look light the weaker team but coming to this stage, they already have their eyes on the trophy and might spoil things for real Madrid.
