@SFR10 I personally don't have any issues. This is very strange to say the least, the last thing you would expect from a VPN company is to be strict with this kind of thing.
Exactly and it caught me by surprise, but I should've known better we're most likely the product with any platform that has freemium services

Yes, as previously mentioned I tried with and without a VPN, but I kept hitting roadblocks... Having said that, after almost two days I managed to get in and give it a spin.
You are not missing anything special, and I seriously doubt in honesty and genuine privacy with Proton services.
They officially confirmed they are logging all IP addresses of users, so I am sure they are logging bitcoin transactions also.
