In the case of Amorim, I think it is obvious that he has a plan and a style which clearly the current players don’t fit in. Amorim needs fresh legs and players that will fit into his style which means signings need to happen and this kind of overhaul cannot be effectively carried out through a January transfer window. I expected the club’s management to instruct Amorim to stall his style for the moment since he doesn’t have the players to execute it.
Perfectly said, the problem of Manchester United is no longer a coach issue but players and truly, Amorim needs new tacticians that can match up his energy because this is a coach that was successful at Sporting Lisbon before coming to Manchester United so he basically needs players that can equate his energy and not all these lazy poor players that are contributing less to the well-being of the club. It's time to let go of unproductive players and bring in fresh blood who are eager to move the team forward.
Amorim is paid a lot, plus they paid 10 million to Sporting on top of that, firing him at the end of the season because he didn't do as well as expected isn't an option. At the same time, if you let him take the reigns and spend a few years being mediocre at best, that wouldn't be good neither. We need to basically see United end up with selling nearly everyone, and I mean everyone, so that we could see them do a lot better later on, when they get better players. I am fine with firing all non-United purchased players, keep the players that came from the academy, and just start from zero.
Because at this point, everyone else, just got used to playing with bad results and they are fine with it, they need players who are not fine with bad results. It's like what Mourinho said, United is getting a terrible football heritage right now.
