Honestly, it depends, if your hobby is so niche, you'd definitely find yourself in financial difficulty. if your hobby somehow happens to be trading stocks for example, then you can easily earn money, gain some edge because you're so committed since it's your hobby anyway and achieve financial freedom.

so really, you can capitalize on your hobby if you see the potential in it, otherwise if there's just simply no potential, don't waste your time.
just get a job where it actually pays and do your hobby in your spare time.
