They say the economy is bad, but where's all the money going? Which industries are still making money?
This is a common saying in the capitalist system but as an educated scholar, you would have known the direction the money is going. The arm robbers with briefcase and the controllers of the economy are the two parties collecting the money and the poor take the left over changes. The money is going directly to the business tycoons and key politicians.
Centralized Bank of a country is meant to maintain the financial department for the capitalist gang.
Clearly, the money goes through to the government officials. And these politicians are most of the time become the business tycoons so that people would not doubt them where they get their wealth, getting into business is the only key. This is probably the reason why such economy does not really grow and progress, because the opportunities and privileges are focused on them, while leaving the poor individuals with nothing but more sufferings and struggles especially in financial aspect.
