DDP is no better than a bar brawler except for his physical qualities and conditioning. Also, just because something is unpredictable doesn't make it valuable in my opinion. I think the rational is more valuable than the irrational. I am much happier watching complete fighters like Charles Oliviera, Islam and Khamzat.
I have a better physique than DDP but I'm not very experienced in fighting. When I see DDP's fight, he gives me hope that I can beat anyone if I have a fight. He doesn't fight like an athlete.Did anyone watch Cejudo vs. Song fight? It was a terrible eyepoke, Henry's eye was bleeding and people were booing him, some fans are crazy.
Even though eyes poke was nasty, he wasnt much in agony and pain during post fight interview. Why not give him a huge pause, 5 minutes or so (like after a groin kick), have doctors checked his eye, deduct Song points and cut his payment later in Cejudo favour, and continue? If he really wanted to win, he would continue fighting even without an eye
I think one of his thoughts was to win this by disqualification.By the way, some people really compare Shara Bullet to Cejudo but that's not correct because Shara Bullet has been without an eye for a long time and when you are without it, over time, your brain tries to adapt changes and you see very well with the one eye. Shara will probably be able to see 80% of what he was seeing before because his brain has adapted to circumstances for years while a healthy individual might struggle a lot if he covers one eye for a moment, so I understand Cejudo's worries, I wouldn't risk fight a professional fighter with one eye (If I'm not Shara).
Maybe its because of their gloves. But this has been a problem for years, and there is no solution so far. New gloves are same crap as old.
