Yeah, but still, everyone is different. What worked for one person might not work for the next.

In the end the ideal is to have a reasonable balance between gambling and normal life.

If someone is spending all their time and money in gambling, then that's not a great way to pass the time.

I agree to that, having the right balance is the best way to entertain and enjoy but if your focus is already been taken by that hope to earn then it's no longer healthy for you, like what you said what's working from one gambler is not a guarantee that will also work to another, it's a discipline that will gives that prevention from being hook with good financial and emotional control, if you posess such attitude then you'll be able to make a righful decision regarding to your gambling activities.

Well I also agree with your opinion here that the only problem is that gamblers often focus too much on winning so that this is what often hinders or makes it difficult for them to balance gambling with normal life as conveyed by @nullama, and it can be said that maybe they are gamblers who misunderstand what and how gambling really is, most likely they gamble because they see other people who have managed to achieve big wins which indirectly becomes the motivation that drives them to also get involved.
Honestly, I really understand that in fact it is indeed rather difficult to change the approach of a gambler who has misunderstood gambling from the start, only a few of them succeed and this is also the reason why gambling must be done very carefully.
