Well, without going too far, for me the main cause of an addiction is the lack of money, and losing everything while gambling, and then the player tries to recover the money lost at the casino. For me, that is the turning point where players normally fail, and that is where the cycle begins where they begin to see many details of losses, they begin to not accept it, and they begin to delude Themselves that they are going to recover that money, and they do not accept that they must leave it behind and move on.

That kind of person thinks he has no choice but to gamble only. The lack of money usually means he doesn't have a job which means his first option should be looking for a job and not gamble.

But then anyway, if he already is addicted to gambling despite having no money then he will not have a big capital to gamble unless he takes a loan from someone which means he'd be in big trouble when he loses that amount.
