Scientists and environmentalists want everyone to use less energy but somehow all responsibility falls over the average citizens. We are told to not consume energy, to consume only green products. We are encouraged to lessen plastic waste but it doesn't even make much difference because the rich ones are still actively ruining the environment with their jets and carbon emission. Big corporates are still damaging the environment way more than a single average person.

It's now becoming like a war against the rich and poor and if this continues then we may never make head way in anything. You have to understand that you should not generalize problem, there are poor people who are actually kicking for the less polluting energy use and their are poor people who are kicking for it.
I believe we would be better of if we tackle some certain problems without causing some controversy or propaganda that actually takes away value from the real issues.
