Real Sociedad's performance this season is impressive enough for one to predict that they stand a chance of getting a result at Barcelona but realistically, anyone who's been watching the league leaders performance this season will agree to the opinion that Barcelona was undoubtedly the favorites to win that game with or without Elustondo's 17th minute red card. Before the game, Barcelona knew that would take them to the top of the league after Real Madrid lost to Real Betis on Saturday. So if you ask me, Barcelona's win didn't just happen because the played against a 10-man Real Sociedad.

Barcelona are the better team to win the match so their win is not a surprise to us all and they deserve that. Maybe if Real Sociedad haven’t gotten the red card, they may have played a better football than they did as they’ve seen the team is complete and may stand a chance ahead of them if they are playing with full squad.

Barcelona have now once again taken the first place on the league and they should not misuse this opportunity to stand a better chance for the league title after they’ve failed in the past to hold on to that place earlier in the standings. Barcelona are a team that needs consistency now if they want to win the league title and they should start from now.
