This is my first not bitcoin-related topic.

I 've had small issues in the past year. My mind was suffering from strange thoughts. To avoid any confusion, I am not talking about self-harming or anything like that. I don't really know how to explain what I am talking about, so I will try to picture it for you.

I am talking about shallow interactions, where someone's ass is more important than their soul.
I am talking about posting how happy everyone is on social media, but crying when their camera is off.
I am talking about people sitting next to each other, being lost in their mobile screens, barely talking to each other.
I am talking about not flirting face-to-face, but instead sending friend requests on social media, trying to look cool to impress the other part, who is doing the exact same thing.

To be honest, I am not in a bad personal situation. On the opposite, I am very good with myself. I am regularly doing psychotherapy where I have the chance to discuss everything that bothers me. I am also kinda older now, which means I have made most of the important decisions someone has to make in their lives.

But I want to listen to you.
Tell me, do you see the situation getting any better?
Or, do we need to adapt to the new reality?

Sorry to hear you experience it that way, but you might want to reflect that this is just your subjective observation, and like you said: Social media lies.

Many of us are having deep and meaningful relationships. They don't come automatically though. In real life we use lot of work on ourselves and towards those relationships to keep them alive, because they are worth it.
Social media isn't some kind of mirror of reality. It amplifies things we already fear, because algorithms are like automated confirmation bias machines. Meaning that when you look for information, you are going to get dragged to rabbit's hole that amplifies your fears and offers solutions that they can market.

You only can make true contacts when talking to individuals face to face. Or via long chats, emails / letters. And it's good if you realize that. Don't give any reality value for social media, because it's not reality, and people who do content, even when they are your online friends, are keeping up appearences. They are rarely making themselves real and vulnerable, because even if people want to see that kind of content, it's devastating to be attacked by some random trolls when you are most vulnerable.
