I don't really understand the meaning of betting sources, if they mean tipsters or like trading signals then I agree that bettors should not rely completely on them, because we should be able to learn to do our own analysis even if the initial results are not as expected.
However, it seems that bettors use tipster services because they see that the tipster's win rate is quite high, so it is something very interesting to follow.

Tipsters will always get alot of patronage from gambler when their win ratio is high enough compared to their losing ratio, but coming back to gamblers patronizing tipsters instead of analyzing games themselves and betting according to their own analysis, I would say that not all gamblers actually have the time to analyze games.

I do have someone who lives next to my compound, he works for a company, leave home by 7am in the morning and comes back home around 7 and 8 pm in the night, and he goes like this everyday from Monday to Saturday, only day he has for resting is on sundays, he love sports betting but his work doesnt permit him the time to analyze games himself, so he patronized tipsters, he's reached out to me a couple of times asking if I had sports games I've betted on to share with him, but unfortunately, I hate sharing my bets with other people so I told him No.
