That would be about $100,000 today in bitcoin according to ChatGPT and depending on the time in 2013 when you bought them. But that would only be in case he found the keys now, because had he had them all this time he would surely have sold at least some of it.

These type of things happen all the time, even right now. For example, even if we do not talk about "losing" but just not seeing the future, I had 2+ bitcoins that I just used for silly gaming skins, in 2013, that was like a few hundred bucks back then, now it's 180k. Obviously a mistake, but I never regretted it, I always feel that move got me into bitcoin and that is why I am thankful for it. I have lost 6 bitcoins before that, on some exchange that got closed (exit scammed) and many other ways like that.

I have been in bitcoin for so long that I may even have some coins somewhere that I already forgot, these things do happen and we learn to live with it. Doesn't mean I am happy about it, just means I am not sad about it.
