The use of video or picture filters has made people have two lives. You might not recognize someone on social media if you see him physically. The difference is sometimes very much. That's why I wouldn't engage in an online relationship until I see the person physically.

Video calls might go a long way in revealing the true identity of someone online. I don't often engage in them, but it would be suitable for people who need it for face-to-face interaction. Connecting with someone you love via different means is always enjoyable.

No, unfortunately you completely missinterpreted my message. Perhaps I wasn't clear.

Obviously I am not talking about video calls with strangers for any reason.
I am talking about video calls with people I love but can't see face-to-face.
I meant that I prefer doing video calls with my parents instead of texting them.
I prefer doing video calls with my friends instead of texting them.

Everyone is busy in developing their self, if you are not conscious and aware this the kind of life of this era you may end up becoming depressed.

Yes, depression is a serious thing. I don't think that depression is very likely to occur simply because of this. But, I highly believe that the lack of human interaction and the loneliness can be strong contributing factors towards depression.
