As long as I remember, there were many users from this forum who were asked to complete KYC during the past 1-2 years (including me, but I did not do it).
I just check their official telegram announcement channel, yes they made so many posts with "No KYC" or "Seamless KYC" on the posts.
Perhaps they do it because their number of players is reduced significantly after they ask KYC to many players, so they are now advertising that they are seamless KYC or KYC is rarely needed.
Just my wild guess ofc, but if it is real that they are now becoming more KYC friendly, it is a good news.
