From my perspective, DeepSeek got the hype because of there claim that it's built in 6 million $ budget but if it's performance doesn't match that of ChatGPT then game might be over for DeepSeek very soon.

For IT tasks, it is really superior to both of the options you suggested. Plus - very high quality system of reasoning, conclusions, logical thinking.

So both in terms of professional benefits and moral and ethical nuances of DeepSeek's origin, I will definitely not use it and support it with my money
