Newcastle United surprisingly managed to steal 3 points in today's match where Guimaraes became the hero in this match after they managed to beat West Ham. A narrow victory means a lot to Newcastle United because they have reopened their chances to compete for the top four. In the second half Newcastle began to find their best form because they were able to balance West Ham's game. Even the chances made by Newcastle United players were quite good because they managed to make West Ham's defense line start to lose stability in defense. Only one goal was scored in this match which indicates that both teams have the same strength but Newcastle United managed to perform better in this match.

I think I wouldn't call it a steal as that game was quite equal almost all the time and Newcastle was the team scoring the winning goal here, but in essentially all statistics this game could have gone either way.

In regards to how important these three points are, West Ham is lost at the bottom of the table without being threatened to get relegated as they have 16 points more than 18th Ipswich Town, but for Newcastle this could create some important momentum for the coming weeks as they are now two points behind Chelsea, Chelsea has a tough game to play now and Newcastle has a great chance to make another important jump if they win against Brentford, which I think they will do.

After a small recovery for Manchester City, they have again more losses than wins in the last five games. If this season ends like this and Guardiola decides to stay, it could come to an end as soon as they have a bad start into the next season again. I think that is the moment when they would go for a hard stop.
