I wonder Why many people believe that Manchester City will continue to be in their great form forever. Those guys have dominated the English Premier League for so long and they have been in their best performance winning the league with 100 points is something that might not be achieved any years soon. So it is natural that they will have to drop their tempo and pick up again. Anything that goes up must surely come down.
We should stop looking for what made Manchester City to drop from this season. It is obvious that it started when KDB and rodri left the midfield at the same time. Before they could come back the team had already lost their chemistry. So it's will take some good time for the chemistry to be back and that will be with the return of rodri and do not forget that Pep also faced divorce issues and lost his mansion in Manchester.
This is of course a justified question. I think it mainly stems from Pep Guardiolas record that it was inconceivable one of his teams would go through a crisis like that. It's not that they don't win the Premier League, but it is the way how they get beaten by underdogs, how they don't many games in a row, how they get eliminated from the Champions League so early, and how they play as if they are paralyzed and this star coach can't do anything about it although he has players like Haaland and so many others. But this proves that once a team doesn't run as well anymore, no matter who the coach is, there is never a guarantee that things can be fixed in the short-term.
