Surely they will scold me when they know I am actively gambling because this is not good for the judgment of neighbors and the environment.
There is absolutely no need for me to tell them about the gambling that I do. If I tell them, it will definitely be the most memorable experience with the picture that I can imagine what will happen.

Only your parents might scold you, and even then it might not have a full effect. Your wife or girlfriend only can express disappointment with your gambling habit and you two would have to work this out together. In a family, it isnt good to make ultimatums or force someone to do or not to do something. Neutral and suitable decision must be found for both of you.
