I believe what you said here and that is what happens in most cases, winnings is just like a strategy to make you feel that you have gotten an income generating platform where you can easily make money because when you win in gambling, the money looks like a give-away cash so someone who doesn't apply wisdom after winning can still end up losing everything because they will feel that if they gamble more they will have the possibility of winning more and in the quest to pursue more wins, more losses are being incurred and while trying to chase the losses, further losses is experienced so it's just like a trap when you win in gambling but for someone who has lost money in gambling can decide to quit in order not to lose further but winnings attracts people more to gambling and that is why some people entered into gambling because they heard a news about someone who won huge amount, so they basically start gambling if they can get lucky as well.
Even if there are those who claims to be genius or experts in gambling, they don't win all the time and the only time anybody can claim they beat a casino is when they win huge amount of money and quit gambling completely which many people even finds it difficult to quit after a huge win because they will feel they now have enough money to gamble more with the idea that even if they lose, it's the money they got from the casino and not their own personal money.
