We should even commend Leverkusen for staying in the second position for a long time and they can still end in the second position since they are 9 points away from MAINZ 05 who are third in the table. Some teams after winning the title they will begin to drop in form in the next season but in the case of Leverkusen it wasn't so which means that Xabi Alonso has really built a formidable squad in Leverkusen.
