We are surely going to win! Iwobi has been in fine form for his club helping them as they aspire for an European competition next season and it will be fantastic to see him replicate such for the Nigerian national team.
Iwobi that plays for Fulham is not always the same Iwobi that plays for the Super Eagles. I will be hoping that we get the same Iwobi this time because there is a lot of lack of creativity in our midfield, and it has affected our game many times. Iwobi from Fulham can be a fix to this.
What really makes Iwobi to underperform whenever he gets to play for the Super Eagles compared to his performance at his club Fulham is worth paying attention to and i think coach Chille should look into that and probably talk with the player to know what's up. He might be having some psychological issues with the national team.
Nothing kills a player's morale to when fans talk ill and hateful words either when they are on the pitch of play or off the pitch. During the last AFCON, Alex Iwobi was very sad after the Super Eagles fans criticized his performance and the cyberbullying really got to him and he became so emotional which even led him to archive his posts on Instagram, after that incidence he finds it difficult to cope again because he is literally playing in fear to just avoid similar experience again that is just what i found out why he is not playing to expectation of the Super Eagles unlike at Fulham where he is doing very fine. If not for his love and passion for the Super Eagles he could have even retracted from International duties but he is still coming over just because he wants to make things right again, all he needs is support from the coach, players and the fans and he will start performing same way he does at Fulham.
