DCA works well for Bitcoin, but this strategy can be approached in different ways, there are those who buy constantly regardless of the price and the market situation (as Sailor does), but there is another approach, when they buy, for example, only on corrections, or only on a bear market (which lasts for several years). I am one of those who do not buy on a bull run, you see, recently the price was 109k and now Bitcoin has corrected by 82k, this is a big difference, and this is one of the reasons why I do not buy on highs.

How you going to know if the BTC price is high or not? Sure. After the price corrects back down you know that it was high.

Those who buy bitcoin at regular intervals regardless of the price are using DCA strategy while those that buy only during market corrections or during bear market are not using DCA strategy but rather buying the dips.since you said you don't buy on a bull then you are not doing dca because dca involves buying bitcoin at regular intervals regardless of the price. with your explanation of not buying when the price is high, seems to me that you don't really understand the concept of DCA strategy and it is mostly traders that will do such comparisons of price that you did since they are in for short term profit.The DCA strategy offer a hedge against bitcoin volatility since an investor is accumulating bitcoin at regular intervals even when the price is low and is high.

Surely you could be correct that if Cryptmuster had been buying $100 per week of BTC since the beginning of his forum registration, then he would have had invested around $40k and he would have had accumulated around 3.13 BTC. So hopefully whatever he has been doing has been able to match or exceed that DCAing level of performance.

And, sure, I am not really sure if that would be enough bitcoin to be able to stop the DCAing, unless he might have had been able to front load his BTC investment at various points in time along the way.
