I can only speak for myself. This is the path of "correction" that I chose. I read not only books on psychiatry, since I do not trust such a pseudo-science as psychology, but also esoteric works entered my collection. All this together gave a result that I could not even imagine. I switched my attention to daily reading. This helped me understand at least a little about myself and my life. It directed me in the right direction, if I may say so. I am happy that I went down this path, and did not stay aside, so as not to change anything.
Everyone, like you, makes their own choices and the fact that you have found a method that works for you is a good thing.
Saying that psychology is a pseudo-science is offensive, it is absolutely not true.
the important thing is that your path has led you to greater awareness, regardless of the tools you have chosen to use
