I don't think there is a guarantee that after this international break Manchester City's performance will improve, because what I see is that Manchester City's current poor performance is very difficult to fix. The proof is that until now Pep as the coach at Manchester City has not been able to change Manchester City's performance well. So with this not too long international break, I don't think it will guarantee that Manchester City's performance will improve again. In fact, I personally speculate that Manchester City's performance could be much worse after this international break. Because it is possible that Manchester City's main players will spend more of this break on vacation and not for training. So if that's the case, I'm sure Manchester City's performance will be much worse.
As we all know the International Break is a disaster for every team whose players are called up for the national team. Some of Man City players will experience a decline after their energy is deployed with the national team, plus the risk of injury that cannot be avoided adds to the heavy task for the club to restore performance amidst the demands of securing the top 4. So I think Man City chances for UCL next season are getting slimmer.
