The absence of two attacking creators has made it difficult for Man City to retain their title and they are now fighting for a top four finish. In my opinion, it is not difficult for them to achieve this target, especially since they are currently only one point behind Chelsea.
I know that injuries contributed to City's poor season, but i don't think that is the only reason because the drop in form is just so much. City have been at a very high level in the last 7 or 8 years, thus a season like this was expected, one in which they will struggle and drop form so much, that even little things will keep going against them; and that is what has happened all season long.
I cannot be so confident that City will make top four, they are so inconsistent, and the gap between them and the teams below them is so small, if they don't start winning consistently, they wouldn't even finish in the top 5 or 6.
The number of injured players, especially core players, is the main cause of the decline in performance in each team and that is what Manchester City is currently experiencing. However, what we need to know is that Manchester City always has great players when core players are injured and also have the same quality of players and that is what I often read when many people comment on Manchester City in its heyday, and in my personal opinion Manchester City this season is indeed in a bad period and also inconsistent because nothing is eternal, and besides that in every match they still field their best squad but the results are still the same.
And in my opinion it is the same, Manchester City finds it difficult to enter the top four for UCL tickets because it is really inconsistent and besides the tight competition for the teams below them who only have a narrow points difference, Manchester City also still has remaining matches which I think are not easy.
