It can be a most ironic story and donation in history but we can not do anything. People who donated bitcoin to Peter Schiff are responsible for their actions and donations.

I don't know what Peter Schiff will do with received donated bitcoins with his announcement of closure of the birthday donation. It will be a big slap to donators if he says something like

"Thank you all for your bitcoin donations. Now I show you that with me bitcoin is shit and I will sell bitcoin for purchasing more gold bars".

Whatever he will say and do next, his donation call is unacceptable.

Aye, that would be quite a rug pull wouldn't it? But a pretty lousy one at that, kind of like Peter's views hahahah. He sure does love gold, but who isn't to love gold right now that it's doing so well? And now that you mention that its almost certain that Perter will pull some kind of stunt like this, right? I mean the man loathes bitcoin and all of a sudden he is coming around to it? What is the sudden change of heart? Is he being paid to do this? How long will he keep this up do you think?
