I just dey reason am say as many new naija board members dey enter forum, Dem suppose still know small history of how our oga Dem take fight their way till we finally got our own local board last year. Yes last year so we are actually just 1 year old. Hurray nija board members although I wasn't here at that time, but I'm grateful to be a member of this wonderful forum. And so far nija board has shown many impressive statistics in d past few months and we are happy to be amongst d most active local boards of d forum. Thanks to many of our new members and oga Dem wey dey do all their best to make sure say the local board dey clean and much more interesting than when it was just a single thread. Well enough of the talking, follow me through this short history of naija board and be amazed, just as I dey when I dey compildis thread. Like dis now, we don show say really, we Nigerians no dey carry last.

Dis request was shocking and other men for naji wey see say d idea make sense come support d thread well. Dem hold ground with our oyibo men Dem. If you read through d thread you go see how many people Dem use mouth take finish our people Dem but Dem no gree. Sha Dem no grant d request dat time,but other many top oga con suggest say since na d first request, e go better make we first create something like a local language thread first. Dis idea na to calculate d amount of active members wey dey we country before Dem go fit reason to give us we Localboard.

Na so d year 2021 Tay end and admin Dem no still give us we Nigeria board.So far, our oga Dem just come focus on trying to increase our local board activities and speck more pidgin as a suggested by other members.
After a while, d request thread by Charles tim don almost dey forgotten, den @ Mpamaegbu con decide to bump d thread again in April 2022 Dis bump wey e do, na to tay remind our admin Dem say, we still dey in need of d local board and hope say Dem go still approve am.
So far over d month, naija thread con show better improvement and when @ Rikafip con do he monthly statistics, e con see say naija don climb go up as d 11th most active local thread for d last few months.dis wan na better improvement
E don reach 9 month, since d last discussion about d nija board don happen and no reply from d admins. So far everybody don relax come dey do Dem best to keep d local thread active. Then one faithful morning;
Na for d early hours of d day, December 21, 2022, 06:05:53 Am, our oga @ CryptopreneurBrainboss come bring great new for d local board. Finally d long awaited local board was approved and created by admin theymos. Dis news was a wonderful celebration for d Nigeria community. At last, admin con see say we too need our own board and use am Tay do Christmas for us. D whole local board happy and con dey thank theymos for dis wonderful thing wey e don go for we Nigerian people Dem.
Although d sub boards as requested no dey but, it was at least a gift worth acknowledging.

So see wetin happen wey make thread don change. We Nigerians we sabi carry Africa for head but others no dey reasons us like dat. E come be like we dey waste our time for here as na only we we dey here. I think the reason why the request was denied in the past is because all of the Nigerians On Bitcointalk speak English and admins probably didn't think a Pidgin English board would have many users. But if the number of Nigerians is much higher now, it makes sense that you guys have your own local. However, if your local would allow users to write in English as well, the admins might turn down the idea. A Pidgin English only local would have better chances.
Discuss among yourselves how you would like your board to look and what sub-boards it should have. That helped the Croatian community get new sub-boards a few months ago. Those ides were then presented to theymos and Cyrus and the new boards were created.
I think it could help to see how many Nigerians there actually are and how many of you are active on Bitcointalk.If the numbers aren't as high as they should be, maybe an African local could be an alternative option. In that case, you have to agree on which local languages would be accepted.

Recently, one of the veteran members hinted me to first seek for our local thread to be pinned, that it should be what we should first seek for, that later we can seek for a local board. I have sent pm to Cyrus before, and I believed one or two members might have sent pm to Cyrus about our local thread to be pinned (just a guess). That is why we think sending pm directly may be inappropriate because the thread has not been pinned ever since then, that is why we want to make it official and public on meta board, we highly hope the Nigeria local thread will also be pinned.
