I have seen a lot invitations on social media platforms especially telegram, the moment when an overzealous helper is inviting someone that needs direction in an open space to chat them privately, my first thought is always that the helper is most likely a scammer.
At that point, you don't have to look away and allow the unholy meeting hold. You've to put it out there immediately, reminding the person who's seeking help to be careful of those who will send them PMs. Tell them in the open that admins of groups don't send PMs first and they should allow only admins address their issues. Tell them how to identify admins by the badges they wear as tags to their names. All that can jolt them to reality. It's a noble thing to do. I've saved some people from falling prey by that method. Anyone in dire need of help can be irrational and do stupid stuff that can compromise their accounts or finances.
