I don't think a non addicted gambler has any reason to completey be free from gambling. If we say we gamble for fun and stick to that very simple rule and avoid think about gambling as a means to make money, then we might be able to avoid so many health complications that comes along with gambling. A non addicted gambler is able to control his gambling habits, stay reserved and have a proper risk management plan. Some one who has failed to follow these simple rules will surely end up being addicted.

However, it is difficult to quit in gambling for those who are addicted. They gamble for the purpose of earning money and then when they lose money in gambling, they are the ones who are facing various health risks.

Individual gamblers should be investigated to ascertain the cause of their addiction. For this, I am of the view that money-making is not the only reason for a gambler's addiction. Taking gambling as a hobby could be an issue too, and before you know it, you are gambling more and could not stop, thereby wasting money no matter how little.

1. Let them redispover themselves and build up their willpower.
2. Solve the issue at the source. For instance, if it is the lack of a job, there must be job provision, otherwise, such will return to it.
