Trump is promising to support Elon musk in this trying times. He is promising to buy Tesla cars and that I suppose is from government. So they make policy to favour rich friends too, they should support the country when they are called to help.

There is no denying that the rich are getting support and favors from the government but in return, they also help the government every day by creating more jobs and bringing huge tax revenue to the government. Isn't that their payback to the government? Isn't that enough?
The rich will never receive any help or favor without benefiting the government, and this is a win-win cooperation.

Also, using the money of the rich to pay off the national debt. Is that an effective solution to completely solve the problem when the root cause of public debt is poor financial management by the government?

If the government wants to pay off the national debt, it should find ways to stop the debt from growing before thinking about paying it off.

By the way, without Elon's strong support, would Trump and the Republicans have a chance to take over the White House?
