In the last few seasons we have seen surprises in the Premier League. Teams like Aston Villa, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest have performed unexpectedly well. Despite not spending a lot of money to build their squads, they have played well and qualified for the Champions League. Nottingham Forest's performance this season has surprised us all.
However, the problem with these teams is that after performing well for just one season, they disappear. After Newcastle qualified for the Champions League, I thought that this team would compete for the Premier League title. They would build a stronger squad. But Newcastle were not interested in spending too much money. As a result, the team failed to compete for the title.
Although Nottingham Forest performed well this season, it cannot be said that we will not see the end of this team next season. There is a high possibility that we will see a bad performance from Nottingham next season and we will see this team in the top 6 of the table.
This is also an indication that only spending money on team won't give you good results. Collective team effort is equally important to get good results, this is evident from performance of team like Nottingham Forest. If Nottingham forest can get third or second position in EPL through current players then why spening huge money on expensive players? They should continue witj continue squad and add only minimum players that can improve team performance. Still 9 more games to go and forest must not relax in remaining games, if they want to confirm there ticket for Champions League.
