I agree, being the owner is better, has more upside and pays more, the thing is that it's way more stressful too and usually not the best way if you want to have time and be relaxed

Owner usually doesn’t do all the work especially on big casino brand because they usually just hire employees to run the website while they just monitoring everything from the reports given by the employee.
It’s very rare for the owner to do the heavy job especially if the casino is already making money. I think only new casino that has low fundings usually have the owner as developer and still do the work for his casino to save expenses.
Most of the casino nowadays is backed by private companies that just fund the casino operations.
