https://x.com/IanJaeger29/status/1907583794464673929Politically, for a small chance of this to work, you would need to drastically cut other taxes (imho, this most likely would be stage 2), because you would be essentially paying tax on consumption via increased prices that are basically, would be equivalent to VAT on foregn goods.
re "no foreign taxes" on bitcoin...miners were forced to pay 35% tax since long time ago, before Bitmain shifted some production from china to Malaysia.
"they" might have concoct something on "foreign-bought bitcoin", but this would be difficult to implement.
