It’s too late for Manchester United and their former goalkeeper De Gea, don’t you think? Erik ten Hag already burned that bridge. De Gea is a club legend but he is 34 years old now, although I think he’s a far better goalkeeper than Andre Onana. Manchester United should young goalkeeper that can work with Amorim.
You will be surprised that if they somehow managed to bring him back to Manchester United, that he still will not be able to perform as he used to now that age has come and his quality must have diminished. Manchester United should either consider getting a personal coach for Onana or getting a younger and promising talent for Goal keeper. There are many options, even if they are not first team selections for their current clubs, but have potential to be a good choice first choice for Manchester United.
It is not just Manchester United that need to change their goalkeeper, Chelsea also need it too.
Of course De Gea cannot be expected to perform like he used to in his younger days but he will still be an upgrade to Onana. Manchester United should just come up with a way to get rid of Onana. Most of the players Erik ten Hag splashed hundreds of pounds to bring to Manchester United are flops. I don’t think getting a personal coach or trainer for Onana is going to change anything, United should simply find better options.
