To bring back De Gea is not the right choice because he is no longer young so what Manchester United need is to find a younger goalkeeper as a long-term move. Ten Hag wasted a lot of talent in United, sold them off and brought in the worst choice. De Gea is gone for good and as you can see he is doing great in Fiorentina. It will be a wrong move to bring De Gea back to United when there are young talented vibrant goalkeepers out there willing to be in United squad. Amorim should take his time and get to young goalkeeper that will stay long in the club.

I like that Manchester United are now realizing the mistakes they made in the Erik ten Hag era. Unfortunately the for them, club had already sunk too deep before Manchester United bosses made the move to sack Erik ten Hag. De Gea and Ronaldo are players Manchester United cannot convince to come back. Rather than looking into the past, I suggest Manchester United under Amorim starting looking to build a new future with a new team.
