As the league still ongoing I think given the Bayern Munich high hope to win the league is too early, because as you say there now performing better that’s how the Leverkusen also put in much efforts to make their performances more competitive, and if look at their currently performances it has different from previous ones this shows that their already to win the league.

If you watch Bayer Leverkusen's performance this season, you will notice their performance has dropped compared to how they performed last season, and they are even struggling to win their matches at the end of this Bundesliga season, which will likely expose Bayer Leverkusen to drop more points than Bayern Munich in their remaining Bundesliga matches, and it will allow Bayern Munich to comfortably win this season's Bundesliga title.

Bayern Munich have been consistent since the season kicked off, but we can't also forget the efforts and persistence of Bayern Leverkusen. Besides, 6 points is not enough gap for Bayern Munich because if they backslide, Bayern Leverkusen is ready to overtake them. Leverkusen's performance dropped for sure unlike last season when they went unbeaten in the Bundesliga, but their form is not that bad this season and just as Munich has lost only two matches, same with Bayern Leverkusen so they are really putting a lot of efforts to make sure that Munich don't give them a bigger gapping. I see more energy in Bayern Leverkusen so i don't think they will drop so many points and give Bayern the privilege of topping with a huge gap.
