I just believe being optimistic is not a healthy state of mind for someone who is regularly involved in gambling or sport betting

Someone was bragging about how much he's expecting the next day, so I had to ask some questions since he kept saying the same thing; where exactly are you getting the funds from? Did you do any kind of business that's about to blow the fuck up pretty soon? Guess what his response was? "I gambled on 2
sure odds and the results Will be out tomorrow morning" I froze up !
One can win money in gambling, but one should not take the experience of others (who have won a lot of money) and extrapolate those experienced upon us.
