I used to think it was only when I posted images but I rarely, if ever, notice a difference now. It's not just a lag, the forum doesn't properly refresh more often than not and I end up closing the window and opening a new one. I mostly use the Brave browser.
edit: okay this one took ~5 seconds and refreshed perfectly thereby making me out to be a liar. I think it's sentient.

I doubt that cycles are gone, until they are gone... so your saying that they are gone "for now" does not really reflect our current reality of being in a cycle.
My point is that we are in a cycle until we aren't ..
Rather than your point about: 1) "we were in a cycle" but 2) now "we are not in a cycle" even though 3) in the future "we might be back in a cycle, maybe?"
