You can call it a lie only in case you truly believed that a charity fund will drop in your account out of nowhere from a random guy on internet. Giving away $50 to $100 is not a big deal for me, I can even donate you $500 like I donated in an event last year or the year before last year I guess but you really believed that you were going to get the money to get your treatment?
