I am the longest running DT member for a reason - I am trustworthy, I do not lie and I've never tried to extort anyone.   If you offer me unsolicited help and I accept it, and you call it extortion, then you are the one commiting the crime here.  OgNasty did the same thing - ask him how it's working out financially.

Some people offer 'unsolicited' help and then show it off for some reason (Not specific to the person mentioned).

I've a father and grandfather (GF inherited a lot of money from his father). Then he spends money on people, and tell them how much he does for them, the fact is he'll sell out the people he's spending his money on (Even if they are his family members), given there's a situation arises for that to happen, and his son (my father) learned from him, and it's a habit at this point in his life. (Good people scare me the most, surface pretence level goodness I am talking here)

-I don't know the exact reason for everyone, but it could be an internal instinct, or a need to look good in the eyes of others.

You are not an old timer.  You have changed.

Why did the person use that line for you? - There's a moment of truth to that, people's emotions, feelingfeelings, and thinking change with time, except the cycles of the solar system (They are constant... relatively) look at my profile text ) Smiley

I have also had someone use that quote on me—it was a professor. (I was a bright student of hers; sadly, I didn't end up completing that degree; she felt sad. One circle classmate told me I should visit her, I am not using the term 'friend' instead of 'classmate' here; I don't know if something such as 'friend' exists.)
