Altcoins based on mobile mining: Do they affect mobile performance ? Is there any research done on this ?
Currently I have 4 mobile mining applications installed on my smartphone, namely Pi network - athene network - sidra chain - cpen network and to be honest my cellphone battery usage is quite wasteful, but if I disable the background feature, the battery consumption becomes lighter, not wasteful. as long as you run your smartphone normally and continue to pay attention to the health of your smartphone, then I am sure your smartphone will be fine when running the mining apk on your smartphone.
When running up these applications the pretty much sure that it is running process in background for you to be able to mine and thats basing up into my experience. If you will be closing those applications on which usually browsers with having those mining extensions then you will be needing for these to be open in background on which simply means that it will be that consuming out battery in background. Smartphone nowadays are already that powerful when it comes into the chipset, memory, ram and storage or simply on the specification on which simply shows that handling out these mobile mining apps wont be that a problem. It all matters about on the process handling because if your phone isnt that good with those numbers then expect that it will hang up your mobile phone and affects user experience.
