~snip~

And I guess the management and the GM and coach have different opinions on how to run the franchise, yes, they've won a NBA title but I guess it's not enough for the management, or at least they are expecting another one for the city.

It just doesn't make sense though that two coaches have been fired in succession that brought the team to their glory. If Jenkins and Malone's record is that bad, then we will understand it. But they are winningest coach in their franchise and so we might not known the real reason and all we have is speculation.
This is becoming the new norm in the league. We've seen a lot of coaches got fired in the midst of important games. I even saw a video of Jokic coaching his teammates. Looks funny but the guy is really serious in winning. The management shouldn't add any pressure to their MVP by firing their one of the most important person. No doubt that coach Malone is a winning coach and has the heart for it. But things happen and he has no control with that if that's already done.

It has been happening already, and yeah, it could be the new norm, and to add to that, coaches job are not secure even if you did your best for that organization, win them championships, put a banner on the arena, at the end of the day if there are problems, coaches are the first one to roll the heads and not the players.

So for now, the Nuggets will have to move on a different path without Malone, although I'm under the impression that the assistant coach might take over for the meantime, so there will be no play and most likely he will stick to the old plays of Malone until a new coach is hired. But going to be very difficult for that coach because we are approaching the playoffs already.
