Is this even true? What connections do VPN have with crypto wallet? If anything can protect your PC from malware and other viruses shouldn't that be Antivirus?

You are very correct in everything you said and answering the question of who are we to believe now? It is not longer new that informations gotten from media should be filter, compared and contrast before believing, YouTube influencers can overly emphasize or exaggerate stories just to get the traffic and the attention they needed, you are right doing personal research is the way head out of not being misinformed and carrying wrong information.
Getting information is one thing and validation is another big thing the we need to attempt to or consider.
