There have been other times where bitcoin came crashing down for more than half of its current price. This one is an example:

But we can see that bitcoin still recovered pretty well after that and its decline had a reason which was caused by a particular event in the crypto industry.
Fortunately, not only that time, but many other times, and Bitcoin has been still alive in 2025 and its price is must higher than past "Bitcoin is dead" times.
When Bitcoin is about $100k or $80k, people hope to see prices like $20k, $15k in the past bear market, but if price falls to $15k, they will lower down their target entry price like $10k, $5k, and if Bitcoin plummet to $500, they will be fearful and won't buy Bitcoin.
