Am I the only one who was surprised with the results of today's games in the English Premier League? Crystal Palace after going 2 goals up were stunned by Manchester City at the end with the reigning English champions scoring 5 goals to thrash the Eagles. Another result that surprised me was Arsenal failing to beat Brentford at home after their convincing performance against Real Madrid during the midweek. Which of the results today caught your attention?
For Manchester city;
I wasn't surprised because Manchester city has missed the EPL title, but they will not miss the EPL top 4.
For Arsenal;
Draw was a good result for them. They have strong meeting in the midweek, so they don't need to give their all this time. Have you not heard that Real Madrid wanted their match to come earlier to give them time to rest against Arsenal match.
Manchester City will try everything possible to make sure they get into the top4 since they are no longer part of the title race this season but one thing to note is the level of seriousness in the team right now because from their performance yesterday even after scoring 5 goals they were not satisfied like they were playing like a team that is angry that is how a team should perform especially when they have failed to do well in the season.
For Arsenal, they tried to draw the game because for a team that has a big match this week against Real Madrid losing the league match will not be a problem for the team since they are not fighting for the league title against Liverpool again but they need to defend their 3 goals advantage against the best team in the history of champions league Real Madrid.
For Arsenal, nobody was surprised with the results of the game, and while I made it very clear in my previous post
with a both teams score prediction, it more of importance for the gunners to preserve their efforts and energy for the big task ahead where accessing such priorities will of course do them more good even without having the complete three points having a nine unbeaten run is indeed an honor but however, had it been they lost against Brentford while in preparation for the UEFA champions league quarter finals returning against Real Madrid it wouldn't have really had effects on the team because what is ahead is much more important than the present.
