It's not so interesting to follow Ligue 1 because the competition is not so competitive, but I often watch some games. There is no chance for the challengers in second or third place to catch up on the points difference from PSG so it is certain that they will come out as champion candidates again this season. This momentum can be used very well by PSG so they can focus more on preparing themselves to face the competition in the Champions League.
I don't think it's entirely down to luck because I saw PSG much better than last season and even mentally they were much more prepared than Liverpool because they managed to beat them on penalties and actually it wasn't easy at all because it takes a strong mentality.
There's absolutely no need for any team to challenge them in the league this season because they have already been crowded champions of League One last week. Yeah, their mentality this season in the Champions League is really top notch and that's why I'm fully in support of PSG this season for the Champions League trophy. I also agree with you that it was never luck on elimating Liverpool, infant they were the better team in that very fixture and were unlucky not to score Liverpool with nothing less than 5 goals in the first which would have put the game to rest from the first leg even.
