Mbappe's challenge is not a good one and the ref made the right call, to me that looks like an intentional act, but why make such challenge when you're in control of the game? Madrid are not suppose to be desperate in any game since all they need is get that 3pt and wait for Barcelona to drop point but that challenge and red has put them in a tight corner which will make them not to play freely as they should have. If care is not taken Alaves might get an equalizer with the way the host are pushing the ball to get a goal and it won't help them in catching up with Barcelona, let's see for how long they'll defend this 1nil lead.
Mbappe Red card was really unnecessary. Aside that he's been playing so bad lately, he needs to work on himself to be more disciplined. However, the referee too was a bit harsh with his card issuing to erring players. It's been a while I witnessed as many yellow cards as this in a league game.
Real madrid is not longer the same team we know. It's really a shame to the great team playing like a small and disorganised team. I don't care whether they win or not but this is certainly one of the worst game I have witnessed them playing in a while. Imagine Real Madrid struggling against a team like Alves, what are we expecting when they face a much stronger team. With the way I noticed how they play with lack of spirit and desire to win, I don't think doing a comeback against Arsenal is achievable.
