Some months ago, I needed an urgent $20 to cover a transaction elsewhere, so I decided to withdraw it from my new broker account. Thankfully, I detected an insane charge of 8 USDT just for a 22 USDT BEP20 withdrawal before proceeding. What would remain??

They even cited that the charge was for "mining fees." Are you kidding me? Mining fees for USDT. In short, I rushed to the live support, and we had a very heated argument that later made them apologize.
To my surprise, my USDT withdrawal charges have become 0 USDT since then, and I've withdrawn more than 30 times afterward. I believe others will continue to suffer those charges, but for me, this is what I get from knowing my rights and being a member of Bitcointalk.
This is Binance exchange I guess, they are the only exchange that I'm aware that doesn't charge you any fee when withdrawing from your exchange account using BEP20 USDT wallet address as destination or receiving address. I think this is some kind of marketing and promotion to make people use their chain to make transactions to boost their chain and as well as also stress their chain. Who knows if they are trying to make circle the parent company of tether to allocate more USDT to their chain like they do to Tron chain.
Just my little warning, don't hold your assets on USDT be it on Bep20 or erc20 or any other chain that support USDT transaction, then can flag any wallet address they see it as one that broke their policies and the usdt wouldn't be able to be move from one wallet to another or the wallet can be reported which can stop you from doing or using that money. I don't trust most of this centralized stable coins things.
